Claire's culinary training for The Cordon Bleu Diploma had started her passion for the hospitality industry. Over the past 35 years, she has gained a  wealth of knowledge and experience, not only in French classic & modern cuisine, but in event management and team training, enabling her to give the best service to her clients. She is committed to providing a highly polished & finished service.
 
Claire lives on a farm beside the Salcombe / Kingsbridge Estuary, where they produce lamb, beef and duck of which she takes great pleasure in offering to her clients. Her husband has always grown vegetables in the corner of one of the fields each year, adding to the wealth of  products that she has on offer.

They have been creating handmade, freshly prepared dishes at events in Devon since 1987. Claire's Kitchen buy from local suppliers, if not her own and strive to create a colourful, bespoke menu for your celebrations. They are always happy to create new dishes based on a Client's request.

All our food is handmade

We grow, pick, prepare, cook and finally serve what we have on the farm. Every stage is cared for with enthusiasm for quality, in the same way as we like to serve it to you. If we don't grow it we try to purchase locally, or at least from the West Country as much as possible. We do like to achieve low food miles!

We have also been awarded 5/5 National Food Hygiene Rating.

Meet the Team

Claire heads her team of 4-5 Chefs, encouraging them to create the finished dishes to the high standard that she was trained to do at The Cordon Bleu. 

We are all perfectionists and just love creating new and exciting dishes. We are dedicated to working long hours in order that your food is prepared as near to the consuming time as possible, as freshness and quality is paramount. We get our inspiration from new techniques and keep up to date with the trends from our occasional travels. We find new ingredients and often, at our client's requests, create their favourite dishes from their own travels or memories. These dishes often end up on our menus due to the success at the Client's event.

Our Kitchen and Practices have been given the top rating of 5 for The Food Hygiene Rating Scheme. 

The waiting staff have come together over the years and we are continuously training the team so we can provide the best service possible. We train them to be thorough in their work at all size of events as well as in The Essentials of Food Safety level one. 

We have several uniforms for you to choose from to match your event.
